NIN’s music AND their business ethic has given me much higher standards, and as a result I think a lot less of artists who don’t put so much effort into their work, or don’t seem like they’d die for their art.

And I don’t really care if it makes me seem snooty to “lesser” music fans :P

When my husband and I started dating he was a hard core Beatles / Paul McCarteny fan. I got him listening to NIN…he now says that NIN/TR has ruined all music for him…even the Beatles / Paul M. He still likes other music, but always goes back to NIN. So I had to show him this article and share this story:)
